Packing List


JAPAN PACKING LIST

Trip Dates: April 15-April 24

SUITCASE CONTENTS
CLOTHING:
¨  Underwear (several pairs)
¨  Socks (several pairs)
¨  One free day outfit – (girls no spaghetti straps or tank tops)
¨  Longer shorts/capris (no short shorts )
¨  Bathing suit (optional) (modest wear)
¨  Pajamas
¨  Runners or walking shoes
¨  Sunhat/Sunglasses (Tourist days)
¨  Comfortable travel pants or skirt
 
SCHOOL WEAR:
¨  WRCA MSL backpack- used as a carry on
¨  WRCA MSL T-Shirts (Blue & Yellow) 
¨  WRCA MSL Jacket
¨  WRCA Navy Polo
¨  WRCA White Polo
¨  WRCA grey slacks/kilt
¨  WRCA sweater/cardigan
¨  Black socks (several pairs)
¨  Black Shoes
 
TOILETRIES:
*Remember, liquids/products over 100 mL not to be included in carry-on
¨  Toothbrush
¨  Toothpaste
¨  Brush/Comb
¨  Deodorant
¨  Hand Sanitizer
¨  Hygiene Products
¨  Sunscreen
¨  Personal Hand Towel
¨  Prescription Medication – must be in clearly marked, original container. If epiPen or syringes, must have doctor’s note that it is required.
¨  Extra pair of glasses (if worn)
¨  Music Instrument (pack in suitcase if small)
¨  Music stand (pack in suitcase)
MISCELLANEOUS:
¨  Journal (optional)
¨  Japan Travel Handbook (school issued)
¨  Bible
¨  Japanese Pocket Dictionary
¨  Alarm clock (preferably battery-powered)
¨  Money – Yen (about $200CDN )  for travel days and meals
¨  Gift for homestay family ($20-$25 CDN)
¨  Flashlight
¨  Earplugs (optional)
 
 
CARRY-ON CONTENTS
DOCUMENTATION:
¨  Passport
¨  Other applicable documentation for non-Canadian passports (PR Card, Tourist Visa, USA Visa, Student Visa)- these will be collected and secured by staff upon arrival to Nagoya, Japan
¨  Travel Insurance
 
MISCELLANEOUS:
¨  Pen – you will need this to fill out info enroute
¨  Snacks (no fruits, veggies, meats, nuts or items that contain nuts, or beverages)
¨  Book, playing cards, small travel games, writing materials – whatever you need to keep yourself busy during the wait at the airport / on the plane
¨  Camera
¨  Extra pair of underwear for carry on
¨  Extra supply of prescription medication - must be in a clearly marked, original container 
If epiPen or syringes, must have doctor’s note that it is required.
¨  Toothbrush & toothpaste (toothpaste must be sampler-size due to airport security regulations)
¨  Headphones for in-flight entertainment
